Uninstalled a version from 2015. New version won't install.

Hello,

 

I paid for the latest version today. I'm using Windows 7 x64. I'd like some assistance with the following:

 

I uninstalled the Malware product that a computer repair person installed last year.  After attempting to install the trial version Internet Security after which I would use a product key for full access, I continue to get a message indicating that I need to uninstall.

 

I'd appreciate a prompt response.

Please download Emsiclean from this link (be sure to save it on your desktop), and follow the instructions

  • Run the Emsiclean download that you saved on your desktop.
  • Read the disclaimer. Note that you must agree to it in order to proceed.
  • Once the scan is finished, simply exit Emsiclean, and do not remove anything

May I ask what you are told you need to uninstall? Also, do you know what is telling you that you need to uninstall it?

May I ask what you are told you need to uninstall? Also, do you know what is telling you that you need to uninstall it?

I was told that I could not install because other components were already installed. I was not given any specifics. I did a simply search and could not find anything. I followed the directions from the previous support response. Then, I was able to install and register the full version key. Thank you.
