CLOSED EIS 12.0.1.6936 - User Can Create Block Rules for Critical Windows Processes

Recommended Posts

EIS 12.0.1.6396

At the moment I do not have VMWare set up to fully explore the consequences, but I have noticed that a user can create block rules in Application Rules for critical Windows processes such as:

  • ntoskernel.exe
  • smss.exe
  • csrss.exe
  • winlogon.exe
  • services.exe
  • lsass.exe

Simply reporting my observation.

Hi,

It's not an issue.

People can also format their C drive or delete the UEFI partition if they really want to.

Trying to become foolproof is a race you can't win.
