MalAware[Resolved]

Recommended Posts

Hi Jude,

Can you please be more specific about "MalAware expired"?

When you ran MalAware that is outdated - it will remind you to download new version (1.0.0.5 at the moment)

Do you mean "Version 1.0.0.4 - 12/15/2009", stated here?

My regards

Yes, the very same, before I came here I tried it again, my Avira denied access. Have you had a report from anyone else? a new copy would have the needed definitions already loaded wouldn't it?

Thanks for the reply, Jude

If the "Avira denied access"... (access to what as a matter of fact... just out of curiosity?) please apply to Avira developers

I downloaded & ran the latest version fine just before my previous reply

My regards

Well Guys,

From the image posted by Ray I can understand only few words :) but that's is enough - Malaware.exe is flagged as ADSPY/AdSpy.Gen3

Sure that is an FP on behalf of Avira... just submit the file to Avira developers

Despite I have a chance to test that on Win7... I will not :P

Cheers!

Are we having fun yet...
Not really fun, but typical FP - that happens

In addition to the above – here are few on-line results after submitting v1.0.0.5:

Previous version (1.0.0.4) submitted today is clean

Hi Jude,

Well, do not set any auto-blocking/quarantining/deleting when using any security.

That is very dangerous! Set it to "Alert" only

Blocking during the download does not make any sense to me ever

Cheers!

Thanks mate will do, I thought you might like to know, my question is why is it still doing its thing with MalAware? Off to make some adjustments..

Jude :)

A member in the beta test told me to block it, just thought I'd throw that in....

cheers...

As it was pointed earlier that is a question to the vendor, who is flagging the legit Software

Cheers!
