Vidal 0
Hi. Last week I got the Crypt0l0ker virus. He left me a couple of fully encrypted hard drives. Someone knows a tool to decrypt the files? The extension files are changed by 6 random letters. Example: Pool.JPG.gwitil Thanks.
WilliamScriven 0
Hi, I have the same problem ! Is there a way to decrypt ? Our backups get also crypted and we lose nearly one year of data. Thanks
bruticus0 3
They have a help topic for this one over at bleepingcomputer here. I really can't say if your files can be decrypted or not though. Some ransomware is impossible to decrypt. Good Luck.
Sarah W 26
Hi Vidal and WilliamScriven, Crypt0l0cker is unfortunately not decryptable. You can either backup your files and wait for a solution, or pay the criminals (we do not recommend this) currently. A good backup procedure is very important and well worth the investment, especially make sure not to keep the backup attached to the system unless you are backing up (it is best to have two different backups). As a note, Emsisoft Anti-Malware would have prevented your system from being compromised and encrypted in the first place. So if you appreciate our support, why not do yourself and your files a favour and check our product out, and consider buying it. Regards, Sarah
