Ken1943
On Windows 10, typing firewall then go to Advanced Settings brings up the Windows firewall where you can look through the rules. Can I go back 20 years so I can understand what I am seeing ? This is one reason I like a separate firewall, it takes most of the guess work out of the junk I see. For instance, I have Cortana disabled with gpedit.msc ( run 10 pro) and in Outbound Rules there it is. Haven't figured out if any information was sent to MS or if I can even disable that rule. I can't say if another firewall would have been able to block it so I will never know. Most of the outbound rules are MS related. A couple years ago I did try one of the programs that was used to modify the firewall. YUK !
Umbra
hello, Just to inform you, if Microsoft really want to extract your datas, no firewall will stop it. There is so many ways for them to do it without your knowledge.
