Luxor Amun RIsing Luxor Mahjong

Recommended Posts

The free Malware testing lists Luxor Amun RIsing & Luxor Mahjong as being malware & list 29 of their files. These programs were obtained as a commercial game CD & the Emsisoft scanners are the only ones that consider these as malware.

Looking at your site you definately show images from the games.

Is it or is it not malware?

What about it is malware?

Can the malware be cleaned without losing the game functionality?

Why is Emsisoft the only scanner that considers it malware?

Thanks,

Brian.

Hi Brian, welcome to the forum

Indeed you can find several “Luxor” detections listed in Emsisoft Malware Databasee.g. here

They are listed as “Low Risk” and the reason is stated

If you trust the Software, just White-List it

or

you can submit the detected items as described in Submitting suspected False Positives for analysis

Can the malware be cleaned without losing the game functionality?

that is hard to tell without knowing in deep the game implementation and the items that being flagged;

or whether it is possible to suppress only particular component that connects to the server as described

My regards
