Uninstalling EAM

Recommended Posts

Hi

After uninstalling EAM the following event appeared in Event Viewer on restarting my PC:

‘The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: epp’.

The above event repeated each time I restarted my PC. Is this normal?

After reinstalling it no longer appears.

The service that loads the EPP (Emsisoft Protection Platform) driver more than likely wasn't unregistered, and thus Windows continued to try to start the driver on startup even though the file had been removed. Emsiclean should be able to resolve that issue for you.

As I said, the event no longer appears in Event Viewer since reinstalling. So, do I still need to run Emsiclean?

If so, is it really necessary to raise a support ticket and attach a log before proceeding, as your guide says?

No, you only run Emsiclean manually after uninstalling. There's no need to fix the issue now, as the EPP driver has been reinstalled.
