jdo
I am using Emsisoft Mobile Security on a Samsung Galaxy S6 running android version 7.0 I am getting reports that Peel Remots has aggressive adware. Adware Agent APH. The advice is to uninstall which results in replacing it with the factory version, I never use Peel Remote but I would like to know if this is a real problem or a false positive. Thomas Ott
Hello jdo, Thank you for contacting Emsisoft support. In order to say more, we would need the specific APK file or a link to a spot to download the APK (e.g., the Google Play Store). I tried searching for the app via the Google Play Store but didn't find an entry. You should be able to extract the APK file from your device and send it to us to analyze. As an example, one of the apps which can do a pretty good job is named APK Extractor (not "App Extractor"), you can download it for free from the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ext.ui As for disabling or uninstalling the Peel Remote app, the information provided here, for example, could be helpful I think: https://www.theandroidsoul.com/how-to-disable-or-uninstall-peel-remote-app-from-your-samsung-htc-or-other-android-devices/ If we can assist you any further, please just let me know.
