Question About Host Rools Popup Notification?

When I visit a questionable web site, the the popup shown in the image below appears. What does the

1. Green Checkmark,

2. Red "X" &

3. Two gears

mean?

I assume "OK" means "block the site"?

Yes, if your setttings are for auto-blocking - thats' what happens if the site is currently "blacklisted" (could be internal list or according and based on the content of hpHosts file)

The rule should be created. You can change the rules later if you want

Ok. That mean, that when blocking is default... with press the "OK" Button will block the page.

But what happen, when i press on the green hook or on the red X?

In both cases the rules will be created

Say: green tick - Monitoring; red cross - Block

See Hosts Rules List after using those buttons

Then you can change the rules the way you prefer

Hi,

if you press the red button, a block-rule will be created.

If you press the green button, a allow-rule will be created.

You can modfiy the rules via Tray-Icon -> Host Rules or Guards -> Host Rules.
