JeremyNicoll
Joining in... (except stapp seems to have software that's 20% better than what I have... with a 6-digit beta version number, I only got 5 in mine - maybe a tantrum is needed: I WNAT ANTHOER DGIIT!! WAAAHHH!!)... I have a different problem. I did a full/cold shutdown and reboot, and now - on my Win 8.1 64bit system - the systray action centre flag has a big red cross on it and Windows is telling me that both Windows Defender and the installed antispyware/malware app are turned off. Does 'Don't install'' mean the same as 'Don't show again''? Also if I close Edge and Vivadi is open the slide stays. Should it not disappear when Edge is closed ? stapp
Just thought I'd run a little check to see if EAM updates do get through when Network Lockdown is turned on. They do. Also Frank would you be kind enough to answer my question here. https://support.emsisoft.com/topic/33491-beta-10204/?tab=comments#comment-205016

JeremyNicoll
Jumping in.... one sees "don't show again" on lots of other EAM notifications. For this one, @stapp is probably wondering whether choosing not to install something NOW, also means one won't be told about the thing next time Edge is opened. Putting it another way, what's the difference between "Later" (which presumably means don't install it now), and "Don't install" (which also means don't install it now)? Frank H
in that context: 'Don't install' is the same as 'Don't show again' 'Later' means: Remind me again later
stapp
Well that's that sorted !! (don't show again install etc)😀 So I open new Edge, I get the browser security slide, I click install now and my default browser (Vivaldi) opens. Are you saying that will install it in Edge if I do this? (seems odd..confusing) Asking so I know what to expect when I try it
Frank H
just try it and let me know
stapp
Will have to wait until I open a new Windows session because you only get the slide once a session as you know.
stapp
Okay Frank you lied I open Edge.. I get browser security slide.. .I say install now.... and it is Edge page that offers the extension not Vivaldi my default browser. Or is that because it is a Chrome based browser?
