chamlin
3 Issues: 2 at startup, 1 throughout the day. I've had these programs for a long time, but now these issues have arisen. Please help. Issue 1 & 2: At startup Every day, OA++ alerts me with A) Cloudmark Desktop One, and B) M-Audio Task Bar Icon (see this screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/users/chamlin/folders/Jing/media/f0d1ffeb-8112-4f6b-b336-43eac42a60c6) I have tried every combination of Trust, Allow, Remember, even Install. I have tried deleting the entries and manually adding them. But every day they keep coming back. What can I do? Issue 3: Adobe Cleanup I started getting popups (see screenshots below), and no matter what I do, OA++ never remembers. 1. http://screencast.com/t/B9znBQTvUN 2. http://screencast.com/t/YhbTbkbm7R4U 3. http://www.screencast.com/users/chamlin/folders/Jing/media/92a3db16-b171-4389-8636-cac3e17f0281 4. http://www.screencast.com/users/chamlin/folders/Jing/media/01ee29d4-953e-4908-b33b-618f35ec35f2 With appreciation, chamlin
catprincess
You could try rerunning the SCW for the first issue and see if that makes any difference For the second issue, it looks like Adobe Cleanup runs by creating a temporary file in the user profile folder each time. I assume (from looking at the information on your screenshot) that Adobe Cleanup is a part of Adobe Acrobat rather than a separate program. Do you already have Adobe Reader set to Trusted? If you do and it's made no difference, marking Adobe Acrobat as an installer should stop the alerts, although this is probably not a highly desirable solution perhaps. chamlin
Thanks catprincess. 1. What is SCW and how do I rerun it? 2. It's not just acrobat reader it's the full acrobat, and yes, it's allowed/trusted. What is the downside of setting it as an installer and how would I do that? And if it's just a inadvisable thing to do, how do I get further assistance (on both issues)? Re: 1. Safety Wizard is being run now. You meant run it not the trust everything on your computer, didn't you?

You can set a program as an installer by double clicking it's entry in the Program's list and ticking the "installer" checkbox. Using this option will automatically allow Unknown programs that the installer runs, reducing or eliminating those pop-ups. So, if some nasty exectuable was embedded in a PDF file, it would be allowed to run without asking you. I'm not sure there's any other current solution to stop these popups at the moment but it's something that the development team can look into perhaps Re: 1. Safety Wizard is being run now. You meant run it not the trust everything on your computer, didn't you? Either option should work (if it's going to help; I'm not sure if it will but the only alternative would seem to be a complete reinstall)
