Can you rely on OASIS to identify and stop worms?

Recommended Posts

I read that OASIS is a rather small database. Can you relay on it? Does it share the same DB of A-Squared? (and if not, what does it contain and why? does it depend on threat severity?)

thanks!

No, OASIS doesn't use Anti-malware's database :) OASIS is a separate database that includes both good and bad programs and their trust statuses. Compared to an AV though, the number of known bad programs is relatively small. It's not intended to function as an Antivirus and shouldn't be relied on as comprehensive protection against malware. You can read more about OASIS here http://www.online-armor.com/webhelp3/KF-OASIS.html
