I need help with this trojan. Its the worst i've ever dealt with. everytime i try to get rid of it, it protects itself. its called AdvHeur!IK. We also had another one called rebateinformer, and i dont think its gone either. the two may be linked. when i did the scan with Emsisoft, it found it but it cant get rid of it. [728] C:\Windows\System32\lsass.exe - File locked, reboot

To start with that is the legit lsass.exe location, and it is a heuristics detection by the Ikarus AV engine. Which, means that there is a high probability that the detection is a False Positive.

Hello and welcome to the Emsisoft support forums.

Thanks

False posative? When i go to quarantine, a window pops up saying it will shut down the computer in one minute, and it dose because of a critical err. When i go in to the start menu and scroll down as soon as i try to click on something it goes back to the top. I have tried to down load other malware. but it wont let me choose English, it always goes to this other language.

You must not delete lsass.exe, it is a system file that is required by Windows; even if it is an infected copy of lsass.exe. Deleting lsass.exe from the System32 folder will render Windows unusable.

I need the logs from the thread I linked to in my first reply. Otherwise I have no clue as to where to start.
