chamlin
Using OA Premium on a Windows XP SP3 system. Every time I open Acrobat Std. v7, or Acrobat reader opens in my Firefox browser, I get a series of popups. It's usually 4 in a row, but sometimes if I don't check the allow/remember buttons fast enough, I'll get an extra one or two popups shortly thereafter. I have tried deleting the Acrobat entries and then manually adding them back to no avail. Here are screenshots of the popups, in order of occurrence: 1st popup every time Acrobat Std. v7 is opened: http://screencast.com/t/1kBvH1TCLg 2nd popup every time Acrobat Std. v7 is opened: http://screencast.com/t/4lvXr2uepDD 3rd popup every time Acrobat Std. v7 is opened: http://screencast.com/t/4lvXr2uepDD 4th popup every time Acrobat Std. v7 is opened: http://screencast.com/t/8i2SZxzf An example of one of the "bonus" popups: http://screencast.com/t/FSYSHOiU Can anyone assist? Thanks, Chamlin
catprincess
Hi Chamlin, These popups are all for temporary files which would be removed at some point after they were created, possibly even by Acrobat itself. Hence when you run Acrobat again, it creates new temporary files which means new popups. The only way I see that you could avoid these repeated alerts would be to set the parent program (Acrobat.exe) to be an "Installer". You can do this by double clicking Acrobat.exe in the Program's list and ticking the "Installer" box. Selecting this option will automatically allow Unknown programs that Acrobat.exe wants to run.
