Thomas Ott
Hello vavidiso_73, I am not sure if I get you right. What exactly do you mean with "separately installed" ? Basically EAM and OA together form a premium security package represents the perfect alternative to classic Internet Security Suites -> Antivirus, Anti-Malware (EAM) and Firewall (OA) In case they can be used separately. (The actual version numbers are 6.0 for EAM and 5.1 for OA) Please just ask again if something remains unclear because I got you wrong
vavidiso_73
I mean, can I install the OA alongside the already EAM6 on a computer, and will therefore have any problems with the operation of similar programs in total-ing on a computer? Separately installed "- sorry, but some are not expressed explicitly - the installation of two programs on the same disk.
Thomas Ott
Hello vavidiso_73, if you want to know if you can run EAM 6.0 and OA 5.1 on the same computer, then the answer would be definitely "yes". As I mentioned above - it is perfect if you are using both programs, cause OA 5.1 will be your Firewall and EAM 6.0 will be the anti-virus software. You shouldn't have problems if you running both of the programs, cause they are build exact for that purpose. But maybe one more thing - which other similar programs do you mean ? With OA and EAM together you won't need any kind of additional security software.
vavidiso_73
MS Essentiall Security & EAM6 and now maybe OA5 works together .
Tomasz
I'm not sure what you mean - but in my opinion it's not necessery to use EAM and MSE together. MSE is kind of antivirus software like EAM. Using it together could cause some problems. OA and EAM - great security pack And you should stay with these. vavidiso_73
So turn off MSE and using EAM and OA ? Error 4th time today. I installed OA (extract files, instead of installation-portable?) First without TLEM Service - the program refused to action, after the service - the same thing now does not work at all. Install on Windows 7 Ultimate on D: / / Program Files (x86). I'm using Microsot Essentiall Security, Anti-Malware Emsisoft 6 and I would like to add to the Online Armour, but unfortunately can not. What to do to install this program.?
hackerman1
there is no problem using EAM, MSE and OA together. MSE and EAM work together. i ´m also using Avast without any problems (Avast + EAM + MSE +OA) regarding your OA-installation: did you get any errormessages during installation ? have you restarted (rebooted) after the installation ? the screenshot you posted makes me think that you tried to start OA WITHOUT rebooting first. and btw. questions about OA is perhaps better to post in the OA-section of the forum... vavidiso_73
did you get any error messages during installation ?have you restarted (rebooted) after the installation ? No. There were no errors during installation Yes. One restart, and started trying the program that showed me the error window. Process started in Task manager and is all. OA not running, not window program shows only this error pop-up.

francois
I have a question about this setup. (EAM and OA Premium FW) Is it better to disable the HIPS component of OA, letting EAM take care of the bahaviour? The two programs seem to overlap each other, as far as I can judge. (but maybe I'm wrong) Thanks in advance! François
Thomas Ott
Hello francois, just think on excluding OA in EAM and also vice versa - then it will run fine. If you should have other anti-malware software whit background guards, it would be better to deinstall these programs, otherwise it can lead to problems. Hope this helps. If you should need further assistance, please just ask again.
