minegroasprilla
Hi. You write: "Positive feedback outbalances not achieving the VB100 award this month due to not detecting a single polymorphic virus". I'm worried. I wonder if that virus is now detectable or still undetected.
Fabian Wosar
Detection has been added by now. Also keep in mind that VB only tests on-demand detection. The sample missed in the test would have been picked up by the behavior blocker before it could do any actual harm to your system.

Thankful
It would have been nice if Emsisoft had participated in all six months of the RAP test instead of just one month.
Christian Mairoll
We have participated in all VB tests of the last year, except the single Linux test. But VB doesn't include tests which showed at least one false positive in the RAP quadrant.
Thankful
False positives remain a problem with Emsisoft failing seven of the last nine VB100 tests.
Christian Mairoll
Please note that Emsisoft Anti-Malware didn't show any false positives in the latest test.

Thankful
What is important is consistency of results, having a history of performing well in such tests. Even though you did very well for one month's RAP test, that doesn't negate the fact you failed seven of the last nine VB100 tests. Similarly, you passed the recent quarter's AV-Test.org certification but failed the prior quarter's test. Having a history of excellent results allows a consumer the ability to look at one bad test and know the company will bounce back with an excellent result.
