Arnold72 0
Hello forum, ive seen in other forums that some firewalls are being bypassed by the avast web shield. Is this the case with online armor? I use both of these programs and they run in tandem very well. Many thanks.
catprincess 19
I'm not sure if you are referring to this thread on Comodo's forum http://forums.comodo.com/firewall-help-cis/comodo-firewall-and-avast-7-t82382.225.html On page 2 of that thread, there is a post here http://forums.comodo.com/firewall-help-cis/comodo-firewall-and-avast-7-t82382.0.html;msg588619#msg588619 where someone tested what I believe is the issue you are referring to, with Avast 7 with various firewalls. According to their results, there was no issue with OA. There's another thread on Avast's forum here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93953.45 If you see post #57 there, they also report no issue with OA. Post #63 on the following page also confirms this. If you know of any reports that suggest otherwise though, please feel free to mention them so that Emsisoft can look into it
Arnold72 0
hi , Thanks for the links. Ive not come across any reports of online armor being bypassed. I consider online armor a better product than the comodo one. They have very buggy software.and i find online armor to be more user friendly. Thanks again.
