Which is the Malicious Software Removal Tool. Every time there is a Windows Update I get a popup about about this file. I have tried to add it manually to the applications list and I can't. When I try Windows\System32 the file doesn't show up. The file shows with Windows Explorer, but not with Anti-Malware.

Is there a way I can add an ignore rule and have it work ?

The Behavior Blocker will always ask the moment a file has been updated. It is a security mechanism to ensure that you are aware of when a file changes, just in case it has been replaced by a malicious file.

I never get a peep out of the behavior blocker for Windows Updates (or other well known apps)...could it be as a result of the Community Based Alert Reduction being set at 90%?

I do get the occasional response from the BB for less well known (more obscure) programs.

My EAM BB settings are as fallow:

I have never seen alert from BB about MRT when I run Windows Update. I'm curious about reasons for such behavior (In context of Ken1943 question).

As a aside note, Ken1943, what version of EAM you are using ? I've tried adding MRT.exe found in /windows/system32 directory to EAM file guard exception list and didn't encounter any problems.
